To be an artist is to embark on a journey. Mine starts with paper. At eight, I wielded blades, happily carving blank pages into living, two-dimensional beings. This will be the foundational crux to my style. At 18, I studied graphic design, perfecting the precision shown in my work. At 28, I invented my signature collage style—known as house style—incorporating Singaporean architecture in fine arts.
By 30, I’ve acquired my tools to create beauty. The rest is expression. Each collaged curve and pivot manifests from personal experiences, creating silhouettes like no other. I pin emotion onto the page. They will last forever.
At 58, my journey continues; I still carry excitement like eight-year-old me, and the perfection built from my graphic design education will never leave. Yet, growth continues, art evolves. Paper morphed to collage. Now, collage transforms to laser cut metal. But no matter the form, the silhouette remains.
